Fortune Journalists Continue to Receive Top Acclaim

Congratulations to Erika Fry, Michele Taylor, Kacy Burdette, Mia Diehl, Shawn Tully, and Ellen McGirt for their incredible work.

Erika Fry has won the 2018 prize for Public Service in Magazine Journalism for her story, “Critical Condition,” which ran in last year’s Fortune 500 issue. You can read her extraordinary reporting here.

Michele Taylor, Kacy Burdette, and Fortune Director of Photography, Mia Diehl, have been awarded the 2019 Excellence in Journalism Award in Feature Photography by The Society of Silurians, one of the oldest press clubs in the nation, for the gripping “Shrinking Middle Class” photo portfolio online here. Shawn Tully has also earned a “Merit” from the group for Fortune’s “Paper Jam” piece.

Ellen McGirt, writer of Fortune’s RaceAhead newsletter, has won a National Headliner Award for the “Best Blog”. Again, Shawn Tully gets a second-place nod for his feature writing and Geoff Colvin has taken in the same category.
